Biggest questions I got going into season 3 of Thrones, which premiers tonight at 9:00. Lot of characters and story lines and knowing HBO, they just gonna pile more on top of us. But based off what we've seen the past two seasons, these are things I want answered within the first five minutes of episode one.
*****SOME SPOILERS INCLUDED*****
What happened to Sam?
Your life is on the line and thats how you run away? SHOW SOME HUSTLE BRO." I like Sam and I get he's fat and slow and a coward, but he literally made it like 30 feet...c'mon. I bet the white walker who was on his horse staring at Sam behind the rock was thinking he wasn't worthy of his first human kill in hundreds of years. But since it was the last thing we saw from last season, I wanna know what happened with him
How does Stannis rebound after Blackwater Bay?
Was there a bigger mistake in the history of fake war than leaving Malisandre at home for the invasion of Kings Landing? I don't know why Stannis listened to Ser Davos about bringing her anyway. SHE GAVE BIRTH TO A SHADOW THAT STABBED HIS BROTHER IN THE HEART THEN VANISHED. Seems like she might be someone you want on your side at battle. He needs to go all in with Malisandre to get some revenge on his enemies and justification for murdering his bro. And for those who don't like Stannis, well then you're all traitors to Ned Stark since Ned was the one to back Stannis. You all ought to be ashamed of yourselves
Will the remaining Starks ever be together again?
The boys are on their way to the wall with Osha and HODOR. Sansa, my poor sweet Sansa is stuck at Kings Landing. Robb and Catelyn Stark are in the Riverlands. My girl Arya just escaped Harrenhal with her friends and is looking to murder people Jaqen H'Ghar style and Jon Snow is in some serious shit north of The Wall. That's just geographically. They are way further apart from each other Game of Throne's wise. All think one another are in a certain spot when they all couldn't be further from the truth. Tough seeing how the remaining Starks will find each other
Joffrey's relationship and rule with a new wife
He got to bully Sansa all he wanted and then instead of fucking two hookers for free like a normal person, he abused the shit out of them. Guy is worse than Scott Peterson when it comes to treating women. But now he's gonna marry Margaery Tyrell, who is in another league than Sansa and probably can't be manipulated as easy. So not sure how his intimidation and masochism is gonna work with he
What's Walder Frey gonna think about Robb Stark totally disregarding their arrangement?
Robb Stark marrying Lady Talisa was a wicked boring story line last season, only cause I thought it took up too much time. In reality though, it's a pretty big deal. In season one (Baelor), Robb agrees to marry some gross Frey daughter in return for being allowed to cross the River Trident through Walder Frey's castle. But now he's met the nurse and he's all about her and she's always in his tent and stuff. One of his men needs to scream at him "YOU'RE AT WAR BRO". You were already out strolling around some meadow when your rebel mother set the Kingslayer free. He needs to snap out of it and remember the task at hand before the war gets away from him and his men get tired of doing nothing and lose interest. Not to mention, his mother says how dangerous Walder Frey is (he's fucking ninety, how dangerous can he be? I thought old man strength was a myth) I wouldn't be surprised to see Lady Talisa bite the dust as an act of revenge
What happened to Theon Greyjoy and the rest of the Iron Islanders who turned on him??
When Theon and Maester Luwin are talking the night before Theon's men turn on him, Theon keeps complaining about someone blowing a horn outside the castle, leading me to believe Ser Bolton's son had gotten there as planned. But then when Theon is done making an asshole out of himself and Dagmer clubs him, how do they get him out of there? More importantly, how did they get burn Winterfell to the ground if the Northerners had the castle surrounded? I guess the real question is: who was outside the castle the night before they fled? Either way I hope they all die.
What the fuck is Jon Snow gonna do now?
I think we can all agree that there was some merit to him not killing Ygrit when he was suppose too. Red heads like can't be easily spared. That being said, he should have known he'd puss out and should have let the Halfhand do away with her. But now he's got himself in Donnie Brasco mode, going to meet the King Beyond the Wall, Mance Rayder, while he also has this smoking hot red headed chick who wants to take his V-Card keeping an eye on him. He's got no Qhorin Halfhand to help him out of this mess and not other brothers either. Boy is on his own for real and we'll probably watch him grow up big time this season
How will Tyrian get back in the game?
In season 1, he got his face bashed in with a battle hammer and in the battle of Blackwater Bay, he got his face slashed with a sword. Difference between the two is that after the first one, he was named Interim Hand of the King. After the face slash and saving Kings Landing and the Throne for the Lannisters, he got das boot from being Hand and is a total outcast (not that already being a little person doesn't make him one already). Not sure if the common life is for him. Especially when he's got this chick wifing him up and not killing time by slaying whores. He wants to be in the mix but his sister doesn't seem very keen on him..you know cause she wanted him dead and stuff
Will Brienne and the Kingslayer make it to Kings Landing?
Television history should make it obvious that these two aren't gonna just coast down to Kings Landing with no issues. But as for whether they will even get there or not??? Not a chance. Just can't be that easy to walk hundreds of miles to kings landing and not get spotted. Yeah those three Stark soldiers (and the Kingslayer) found out Brienne is nothing to fuck with, but she's only one person and the Kingslayer has been in prison for a year and would be at like 40% for a fight. Plus, while I doubt it would happen, Brienne might just get a little sick of the Kingslayer's nasty insults and general Lannister-ness and put a sword through his face
(Gotta admit that as much of a unquestionable prick Jamie Lannister is, I happen to like him a little. At least the prisoner version of Jamie Lannister. I mean he's called the Kingslayer. It's not a positive nickname by any means, but it is definitely badass)
Who can stop Dany and her dragons?
Plain and simple, its just like Varys told Tyrian about her having three dragons: "..it'll be years till they are fully grown. Then there'll be no where to hide."
Game over
****BONUS AND MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR THIS SEASON****
What episode will Ned Stark return?
Because we all know he's alive.
